Yoga, Constraint + Marketing Mindset

I've done a lot of yoga in tight hotel rooms this year. It recently got me thinking about how marketing and business development professionals operate when we feel constrained.
Maybe it's a lawyer pushing back, a boss who doesn't see things the way we do, or simply a struggle for resources.
Does constraint mean a thing is not worth doing at all?
In the case of hotel-room yoga, the answer is no. There is still value in doing the poses even if I can't give them their full expressions.
Here are three questions to help you find value in the marketing and BD work you do even when you can't give an effort the full expression it deserves:
1️⃣ How can you make the most of what is available to you in your firm?
2️⃣ How can you lead with what you've got, even if not ideal?
3️⃣ What can others learn from you that feels new to them even when constraints limit your output or cap an effort's potential?
Yoga feels worth doing even when I have to modify poses for tight quarters.
I hope these questions give you confidence that your marketing and BD efforts are worth doing—and that your internal clients will appreciate them—even when circumstances constrain you.
